[It hadn’t been easy but Nate had managed to close down the bar they first kissed in, twice. Now it was lite up by white Christmas lights that were strung from the ceiling.  In the middle of the bar stood a single table with a white table cloth. Outside a car parked Nate heard the engine cut and then the sound of a door closing. He inhaled deeply and flicked off the lights so only the Christmas lights were on giving the bar a magically effect. Hey.

[Erin had received a message from Nate asking her to meet him at the bar, at first she thought it would just be for a simple meal between them or just some drinks. This particular bar did have meaning to it; a meaning to them. As she arrived, she noticed that the car park was basically empty, and not many lights seemed to be on. Checking over the message she thought maybe she had gotten the wrong time or place; nope she was exactly where she needed to be so she made her way into the bar, only to be a greeted by a breath taking view, and the smile of the man she had fallen for.]

Hi.
Wow this is, this is amazing. You are amazing. I.. I don’t know what to say.

To the woman my husband loves, if you’re reading this it must be true. I want you to know that if he didn’t love you than he would never have given this to you. The only thing that I can hope for is that you feel the same way too. That you look at him the same way he looks at you.  I wanted to write you because I needed you to know something very important; that I’m so glad he found you. I’m so glad he allowed himself to open up his heart to let you into his life. 
Nate deserves to be happy and I really hope you make him happy, I only wish I was there to meet you in some way. To see for myself the twinkle in his beautiful eyes when he looks into yours. I want you to know that outside my husband and my beautiful little girl that you are the most important person in my world because I am gone and their yours now so promise me something, promise me that you will love them with every part of your being and you’ll take care of them because I can no longer do it. 

Make them laugh and hold them when they cry.  Make sure Nate doesn’t over work himself and that Katie takes care of he purple monkey even when she’s older. I know its hard loving a man like Nate, trust me I know because I loved him with every single fiber in my body but he’s a firefighter its something that defines him and its hard being a firefighters wife. Since you love him then you need to know that sometimes its hard on days when he’s working. You’ll find yourself eyeing the phone or pacing by the door. There will be days when you’ll get chills when the phone rings or there’s a knock at the door but he’s a survivor and I’ll be beside you both- all three of you. Watching over you making sure that your all fine because if he loves you so do I.

You, my dear give me hope. You give me hope that Nate wont forget what it feels like to be in love. That he won’t be alone and wallowing away with a broken heart. That Katie will have someone to talk too when she has her first heart break and someone to help her get ready at her wedding. That there will be a woman in his life to remind him to take photos of Katie’s first step, and someone not to break the legs of whoever she chooses to love. That my family will have someone to take care of them as I would have. I just want you to know I appreciate you and If my husband loves you—so do I.

So if you love Nate now, then love him forever. Make him laugh again, and cherish the time you spend together because you never know when it will run out. Take walks on the beach together. Go to the park with Katie. Make dinner for him but make sure he cooks for you too, let him show you how special you are to him because you are, let him love you with every part of him because he has such a big heart and he loves with all of it, and he loves you so that means he’s going to love you forever.

Good, make sure you show it to Katie when she’s sixteen and stomping her feet all the way to her room because I won’t let her go to a party. You show her that her daddy loves her enough to dive into fountain’s for her benefit. 

I’ll be sure to treasure it forever, maybe I’ll even have it playing on loop at your 40th. I’m going to keep it under lock and key.

I could of hit my head while you were on the ground laughing. I could of been pecked to death by birds. Ummm ah. Yeah I’m running out of all things, did you at least get it on video?

Yeah your excuses aren’t brilliant, I’d get working on them if I was you.

Hmm. I’ll deffo have to try them on first. They’re not really my style but I feel as if my wardrobe definitely needs an update.

What do you plan on getting?

No harm in trying them on, need to make sure that they are right for you and you’re comfortable in them. I’ve been dying to get a new pair of boots so I think I’m going to have a look around for some.

[Nate thought for a long moment before saying anything to her after she had spoke. There would of been a time he would of thought right of Lisa but here and now he only thought of Erin and the way she smiled. Nate took a deep breath as he tucked a piece of her hair in and then smiled softly, as he inhaled a deep breath and thought of a way to say the words that were just on the tip of his tongue. One would think it would be simple but it wasn’t. Nate shook his head and smiled as he glanced across the room. ]

Lets go grab Katie and go get a bite to eat! I’m starved and I would love to celebrate with two of my favorite girls.

 

[Erin couldn’t help but smile when she was around Nate the fire and passion showing in her eyes, that sparkle was back, the sparkle she had lost the moment her mother took her last breath. Never before did Erin imagine herself trusting and caring for someone just as much as she did for Nate, He brought the good inside of her out, not a moment around him was dull. She wasn’t able to describe how she felt about him, it just wasn’t possible. How do you describe the intense feeling you have over one person? It was simple. One word. The one word that bounced around her head and her heart.]

That sounds perfect, you get to celebrate with your favourite girls and I get to celebrate with my favourite man and little lady. It’s perfect.

I need a new coat. I was thinking a faux leather one but I’m not too sure… Don’t want to come across as one of those Hell’s Angel’s chicks, y’enno?

Maybe get a short one rather than a long one, I adore my leather jacket. Specially when the weather is bad, it surprisingly keeps me warm. 

Though I’m sure you’d totally rock the hell’s Angel look.
